It looks like there's a relay in the fusebox for the wipers; try the wipers on the intermittent setting, it should be possible to here the relay clicking on and off with each cycle. There is another connection show on the diagram which I would guess is a signal back to the BSI to indicate that the wipers are in the parked position.
